Welcome to Acupuncture, Shiatsu & Complementary Medicine
A confidential space to begin your journey towards health & well-being
Welcome, and thank you for visiting Harmonious Spirit, My name is Lior Levy and I am a licensed Acupuncturist & Complementary medicine practitioner. I work from my private practice at Violet Hill Studio in St Johns Wood London and The Natural Therapies Clinic in Weybridge Surrey. I have run my clinic for 17 years and I am experienced in working with a wide range of conditions and symptoms including Back pain and fertility issues.
My approach to health is holistic and draws upon Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Chinese Five Elements Philosophy and Zen-Shiatsu Healing. Working from a Five Element perspective the treatments aim to facilitate personal and spiritual growth within an individual as well as to address their presenting symptom(s) of concern.
Professionally, I am also a Supervisor at the Acupuncture Academy, supervising students of Acupuncture throughout their clinical practice, training and journey toward becoming qualified practitioners. I run Workshops on Qi-Gong and Five Element Philosophy, as well as teaching Qi-Gong classes.
Your Journey Towards Health & Wellbeing
Acupuncture has been practiced for over 3000 years and has been proven to be a safe and effective treatment to improve various discomforts and medical conditions.
The theory consists on the concept of Qi, the vital force, or energy which flows in the meridians (energy pathways) through our body. disharmony in the flow of Qi can manifest as discomfort or disease.
During the consultation I will gather information, taking into consideration the whole state of the individual in order to determine the pattern of imbalance, understand the primary constitutional imbalance, and identify the root of the illness. Treatment is then focused on nourishing the root, in order to achieve harmony between the elements and improve the flow of Qi, which promotes health in the person’s
body, mind and spirit.
After a consultation the treatment involves gentle stimulation of a minimum number of acupuncture points along the meridians, using fine needles and moxibustion. The points are
carefully chosen by the practitioner according to the individual’s needs, in order to restore health.
Lior Levy Lic. Ac. MBAcC – Acupuncture & Complementary Medicine
My name is Lior Levy and I am a licensed Acupuncturist & Complementary medicine practitioner. My approach to good health and healing is holistic, this means acknowledging all aspects that make up an individual such as, Lifestyle, Physical (Body), Subtle Body (Spirit), as well as the Emotional\Mind and mind-body connection; Bringing awareness of how past experiences and emotions can be held in the body.
As a Five Elements Practitioner my treatments are focused on achieving harmony between the five elements, which promotes good health Body/ Mind/ Spirit, improves symptoms and offers preventative medicine.
I am honoured to support clients along their journey towards better health, and through personal and spiritual development through life’s challenges. I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds; People seek treatment for a diverse range of problems.
As a fully-qualified Acupuncturist & Complementary Practitioner I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, and abide by their code of ethics.
Shiatsu therapy was developed in Japan and is based on the same principles as
acupuncture, but the practitioner is using human touch rather than needles.
The treatment is performed while the client is lying comfortably clothed on
a futon mattress. It involves soft manipulation, stretches, and the use of
thumbs, palms, elbows and knees to apply pressure adapted to individual needs.
Although the bodywork is very soothing, it is a deep energy treatment, which
aims to restore harmony within the body and improve the flow of Qi through
the meridians. The result: longer-term sustained benefits body, mind, spirit.
Benefits can be felt from the first session, however, for chronic problems
a course of treatment is recommended. Start with 4 to 6 sessions weekly and
reduce frequency according to client’s feedback. The aim is to reach good health
and keep it that way for longer,
Improving the flow of Qi, releasing blocks and maintaining the body on a
monthly basis does not allow the imbalance to become chronic and manifest as
Reflexology is a form of holistic medicine, started in Egypt more than 4000 years
ago, aiming to help the body to restore its natural balance by stimulating
the deficient systems or organs through the feet. The theory behind is that
every part of our body is also reflected in the feet, and by using
different techniques the therapist stimulates reflex points mainly on the feet, which
corresponds to every part of the body.
Our feet do not get enough attention, Reflexology is a real treat, relaxing
and soothing, yet very powerful and reaches every aspect of our
Body Mind and Spirit.
A full body massage where the emphasis is more on circulation. The treatment involves
using oil applied by the therapist using mainly the palms in various techniques.
The massage is a good way of relaxation and distressing from the every day
life, therefore it can relieve stress related symptoms. For more chronic conditions
the therapist may recommend another therapy.
Deep tissue massage
A full body massage where the emphasis is more on the deep tissue muscles
(back & legs). It differs from the Swedish massage in a way that the movements
are slower and the therapist is using a firm pressure applied by the palms
(wrists and elbows if needed), the therapist may also use soft manipulation to
joints (shoulders hips knees and ankles).
The massage is a good way of helping the body to recover from a good workout,
exercise, or being in bad posture at work for a few hours (sitting or standing
for too long). It is also beneficial to many stress related symptoms.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues; Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through Complementary Medicine:
lower back pain
Chronic neck and shoulder pain
Increase energy levels
Depression & Anxiety
The treatments also increases body awareness and can help prevent common illnesses.
Having regular treatments is good way to support the client through an ongoing situation in life,
and offers maintenance for the body, mind and spirit.
Ongoing treatments allow for the deeper work to happen; Through the five element perspective we can begin to understand our elemental constitution and the link between the body, and our mental and emotional state; Guidance from a five element perspective can assist the client
to express their full potential through life in every aspect.
Benefits will be felt from the first session, although chronic conditions will require
a course of treatments.

In addition to Complementary Medicine I also teach Qi Gong classes online via Zoom.
Qi gong is an ancient practice aligning breath, movement, and awareness, for exercise, healing, and martial arts training. It is a deep energy practice circulating the Qi and connecting us from the gross to the subtle. Qi- Gong philosophy has roots in the I Ching, Taoism, Buddhist schools of thought, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Classical Five Elements. Some of these concepts will be woven through the classes, but I will also supplement blog entries on the philosophy, for those who wish to go deeper into the philosophy of the practice.
In addition to Complementary Medicine I also teach Qi Gong classes online via Zoom.
Tuesday morning 10am-11:30am
Friday mornings 10am-1130am
The initial consultation and treatment can take up to 2 hours.
during the first session an initial consultation is carried out this is an opportunity to get to know you and assess the presenting symptom(s) of concern. After a consultation I would devise a treatment plan tailored to your needs and focusing on nourishing the root as well as relieving symptoms. The aim is to restore harmony between the elements, which promotes good health. I may further recommend Qi Gong, Physical exercises and dietary advice.
This really depends on what is the presenting symptom, as some conditions may need a course of treatment to treat. ( this will be assessed and discussed at the initial consultation.)
Some clients choose to come for treatments regulary to maintain health and well-being
Since the treatment is not focusing on the symptoms, there is no need to wait
for an illness to appear. The Five-element system of medicine is a good way
of preventive medicine and maintenance for the body, mind and nourishing the spirit. Which assists the individual to express the full potential through life in every aspect
